Payment Options
We happily accept all major credit and debit cards, as long as they have a Visa or Mastercard symbol on them. We also accept Paypal. Please see the PayPal section for more details.
We do not accept payments via check or money order.
Invoices
You may view and print copies of your invoices anytime. Simply visit your
Account section and view "My Orders" page. Here you'll see a listing of all your orders. Click an order number and look for the "Print Invoice" option next to each.
We do not include paper invoices with any of our orders, so if your order is a gift, the recipient will not receive any information regarding pricing, or your personal payment information.
Change Billing Details
We made it simple for you to change any information pertaining to your account. If you need to update your billing information, all you have to do is
visit the
billing information page in your account. The changes will be reflected instantly on your account.
0.01 Authorisations
You may see 0.01 transactions on your card statement. These are authorisations only, not charges. They'll disappear in a few days. Authorisations take place when you enter a payment card online to ensure that all digits were entered correctly. They are temporary, and will not be charged to your card.
Value Added Tax
VAT is charged on all orders at the current rate in the United Kingdom:
- 0% on tea
- 20% on tea accessories
Orders from countries outside of the UK are not charged VAT, but may be subject to taxes or customs duties upon import. Please refer to your country's individual tax laws for more information.
PayPal
In the instances where your PayPal email matches the email address of your existing Adagio account, all transactions accrue into one account. However, if your PayPal email address differs from the one stored in our system, then the PayPal orders enter our system as a new account. If this happened to you, you will have multiple accounts, one will contain your debit / credit card orders, another your PayPal transactions.
When choosing to pay with Paypal, we receive an address that you've selected from the various options available in your Paypal account settings. Please be careful to select the correct one, as it's not possible for us to update this info once we receive your order.
For the same reason stated above regarding accounts, should your email differ, promotional certificates sent to your Adagio account will not validate when using PayPal.
Refund Of Canceled Order
An order cancellation will automatically refund you the purchase. You may still see the negative charge on your statement, followed by a positive figure of same amount. With some banks, the credits take a few days to arrive. But have no worry, these are processed automatically the second you click the "Cancel Order" button.
Applying Certificates
A certificate will automatically subtract its value from your total. To apply, please look for this option during the checkout process. The section is labeled "Payment Method". Please select the "Gift Certificate" option. The subsequent page will give you an opportunity to enter its number and automatically subtract its value from your total. We unfortunately may not do so retroactively. If you forget to apply the certificate, we kindly ask that you retain it for future visits. If you're checking out with PayPal and your PayPal email differs from the one used to create your Adagio Teas account, the certificate won't validate.
Forgetting To Apply Certificate
Once the checkout process is complete, we unfortunately cannot apply a certificate retroactively. However, your certificate will remain valid and may be used anytime in the future.
