English Breakfast is the foremost favourite black tea blend, found in the majority of British households and across Europe as the standard black tea. This classic tea comes in various grades and blends, many of them made up of lower quality leaves. However, our own English Breakfast Tea is made with premium Keemun tea from the Anhui province in China, celebrated for its rich and slightly smokey flavour with a honey aroma – perfectly ‘on point’ with astringency. English Breakfast tea can be enjoyed plain or with a drop of milk.

English Breakfasts have been around since the 13th century and are widely recognised as a staple of the UK. Also known as Full Breakfasts, they are comprised of breakfast meats, eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and toast, though exact ingredients vary regionally. While often had with tea, however, the first official English Breakfast blend wasn't made until 1843 in America, where, in an ironic twist, some of the same base teas had been thrown in the Boston Harbour at the Boston Tea Party seventy years earlier.
